5.2. Wind up the Bass

 

Our ears do not hear all sound the same. Loud music sounds much more bassy than quiet music due to the frequency response of our auditory system. This means that, if you wind up the bass it sounds like your music is louder than it actually is. Your audience will get that `hits you in the chest` feeling and go away thinking they`ve been to a loud gig. In reality it has been fairly quiet so less hearing damage and longer life for your amps etc.
